This is an established, albeit small, critique group. Most of us are working on novels. We're hoping to add a few perceptive readers and talented writers to our circle. We operate very informally. Between meetings we trade chapters or excerpts, and when we meet, we discuss the work and give each other feedback. We attempt to address overall structural/plausibility issues as well as minor stylistic issues. Genre fiction is welcome, and we've discussed short fiction, poetry, and screenplays in the …
This is more of a reader's club than a book club. Instead of reading the same book and discussing it, members talk about books they have read. You can also bring books to trade or lend. We hope to also have trips to hear favorite authors and attend events. Given that gore, romance, erotica, and adult topics may be discussed, we don't recommend bringing children.

I want to run game nights as often as the members want. My ideas include SciFi Fridays where we watch a science fiction movie and play science fiction games including video games, Rock and Roll Saturday where we play Rock Band and roll dice in tabletop games, and Rachael's RPG Sunday where I host an RPG like Pathfinder in honor of Rachael Goodwin.
