StarBase Leicester Sci-Fi/Fantasy Meetup

Meet fellow Sci-fi/Fantasy Fans near you! Come to a local Sci-fi/Fantasy Meetup to have fun talking science fiction and fantasy in literature, media, gaming and art. Go to local conventions, signings, readings, movies, museum shows, science lectures and more! This is already an established group(9 regular members(prior to joining meetup)) which has already been going for two years, before we even consdered joining this community. To say that our current members have an eclectic mix of interests is a little bit of an understatement. We've got members who are into Guitar Hero 3, Stargate Atlantis, Lost, Battlestar Galactica(old and new versions), Firefly/Serenity and too many more things to mention. Our aim on Meetup.com is to attract more members to join our little group, join in the fun activities, inspire us with new ideas for events and more importantly we're all out to make some new friends. Books, Comics & Literature night
We're well aware that a lot of scifi fans are mainly influenced by tv and films, but let's not forget that sometimes it's easier to lose yourself in a good book and let's face it, there's loads of them to choose from.
Please feel free to come along to talk about the latest book you're reading, read some of your own creative writing or just bring along a book to swap for something else.
