We will again be at the Bergen Highlands United Methodist Church, 314 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, Bergen County, New Jersey 07458 (201) 327 - 3960. This is diagonally across the street from our usual meeting site, the Saddle River Valley Cultural Center. Directions appear on page two. PRE MEETING ACTIVITIES: ..........Our Animation Associates will deviate from its regular program and instead show classic episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE before the main meeting. Show up at 6:15 PM and enjoy these classic shows in preparation of our guest's talk. ..........If that does not strike your fancy, you can join the Currently Cool discussion of Ice Nine at 6:30 PM. Read a good book? Seen a fun show? Watch a scary movie? Come and share your thoughts at this group! You never can tell where this discussion will go. AUTHOR ARLEN SCHUMER: ..........Arlen Schumer writes non fiction about television and comics. His works include VISIONS FROM THE TWILIGHT ZONE, THE SILVER AGE OF COMIC BOOK ART, THE FLINTSTONES: ANATOMY OF A POP CULTURE CLASSIC, NEAL ADAMS: THE SKETCH BOOK, CURT SWAN: A LIFE IN COMICS and THE AMAZING WORLD OF CARMINE INFANTINO. Mr Schumer will begin his presentation with a look at the art of THE TWILIGHT ZONE and then proceed to other topics. ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION: The S F A B C meets on the second Saturday of the month and features talks, slide shows and other presentations by people in the science fiction, fantasy, horror and related fields. The Association sponsors a number of special interest groups, focusing on different aspects of science fiction and related matters, including activities devoted to books, movies, televison, animation, horror and other events. We also produce a monthly newsletter listing talks, conventions, discussion groups and other activities of interest to poeple who enjoy science fiction and related areas.
