This month is our book, game & media swap! Bring all those books you don't have room for and take home some you haven't read yet. Science fiction, fantasy and horror are all welcome. Also welcome: comics & manga, DVDs, role-playing games, computer games and console games. Bring some extra boxes and bags; you will probably need them. There will be boxes of SF, fantasy and horror books left over from the Conjecture garage sale in March, all looking for a new home.

If you don't have any stuff to give away, feel free to come and take some home?we always have leftovers.

If you want to get rid of stuff but don't want to take any home because your house is exploding with stuff, perhaps you can send your give-aways with a friend.

This meeting will also be supporting local science fiction and fantasy convention Conjecture in two ways:

  • It's a fund-raiser for SanSFiS, the non-profit corporation that puts on Conjecture each year. If you bring an invitation, part of what you spend on food goes to SanSFiS.
  • It's a brainstorming meeting for Conjecture programming. Bring your weird ideas for panel discussion topics!

    We had some new people attending who were , not greeted or made to feel welcomed. They were left out in the cold universe. We need to make greater efforts to venture outside our comfort zones to socialize with new comers.

    I'm bringing lots of RPG books and science fiction and fantasy books, including some Fantasy and Science Fiction and Asimov's magazines left over from the last Conjecture/SanSFiS fundraising garage sale. So many boxes, they almost don't fit in my car. I think I'll back up to one of the spaces right in front of the door to the restaurant, near the 3 patio tables they have, and people can browse right from my trunk.
